Co-Player of the Week

D.J. Perron (Swansea, Mass.) – Senior Shortstop – UMass Dartmouth

Perron earned a share of this week’s LEC Player of the Week honor after batting .593 (16-for-27) and slugging 1.111 with four homers, two doubles, 17 RBI and 10 runs scored in a 7-0 week for the Corsairs. He opened the week going 2-for-5 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored in a 14-1 rout of Fitchburg State before going 6-for-6 with seven RBI’s, a double, a homerun and three runs scored, the game-winning walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth of a 12-11 triumph over Penn State-Altoona. Perron followed that up by going 2-for-3 with two solo homers in a 7-4 game-one win over Concordia (Minn.) and was 1-for-3 with a solo blast and two runs scored in a 7-5 win over Clarkson. The senior capped the week going 4-for-6 with four RBI in a doubleheader sweep (5-4 and 7-5) of Wentworth Saturday.

Cam Seymour (Saco, Maine) – Junior – Designated Hitter – Southern Maine

Seymour earned a share of this week’s LEC Player of the Week honor after batting .500 (6-for-12) and slugging 1.167 while totaling two doubles, two homers, five RBI and five runs scored in a 3-0 week for the Huskies. He was 2-for-3 with a double and a two-run home run in an 8-4 setback to Roger Williams to open the season Friday. Seymour capped his week going 3-for-6 with a double, a solo home run, four runs scored and two RBI in USM’s 17-9 win over No. 21 Ithaca Sunday night.

Pitcher of the Week

Riley Orr, Castleton

Orr was named the LEC Pitcher of the Week after tossing seven scoreless innings in the Spartans’ 5-4 victory over the Mississippi University for Women Saturday. He scattered five hits while racking up a LEC-best 14 strikeouts in the contest.

Rookie of the Week

Lucas McElroy (Westport, Mass.) – Freshman – Second Base – Rhode Island College

McElroy was named the LEC Rookie of the Week after batting .474 (9-for-19) with two doubles, six runs scored and four RBI in a 3-1 week for the Anchormen. He went 4-for-6 with two runs scored and an RBI in RIC’s 17-7 win over North Central before going 1-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored in a 7-5 victory over Alvernia. McElroy capped the week going 3-for-5 with two doubles, three runs scored and an RBI in a 7-6 win over Dean.
