Four LEC Women’s Soccer Player Named to United Soccer Coaches All-Region Team

 Four Little East Conference (LEC) women’s soccer standouts have been named to the 2022 United Soccer Coaches All-Region Team. Each was a First Team All-LEC selection.
 
LEC regular season and tournament champion University of Southern Maine had three of the four all-region selections, led by junior forward Catriona Gould’s First Team selection. The 2022 LEC Offensive Player of the Year finished the 2022 season as the conference leader in goals (20) and total points (47), and tied for the league lead in assists (7).
 
Junior back Mia Sargent and sophomore midfielder Julia McKenna were earned a spot on the Third Team. Sargent was named the 2022 LEC Championship Tournament Most Outstanding Player and LEC Defensive Player of the Year as the Huskies’ leader on the back line. McKenna was voted the 2022 LEC Rookie of the Year after finishing third in the conference in goals (12) and total points (26)
 
Also earning Third Team recognition was Western Connecticut State University sophomore forward Suzana Imetovski, who received the honor for the second consecutive season. She finished the season tied for the LEC lead in assists (7) while ranking second in goals (13) and total points (33).
