Keene State Climbs to No. 6, WestConn Receiving Votes in Latest D3hoops.com Men’s Basketball Poll

 For the second week in a row, a pair of Little East Conference (LEC) men’s basketball teams are featured in the D3hoops.com Men’s Basketball Poll, it was announced Monday evening.
 
Keene State College moved up two spots to No. 6 in the nation after extending its undefeated record to 10-0, making the Owls one of just two teams with 10 wins in the nation. Keene State opened last week with a 95-65 conference victory over Plymouth State before notching a 98-60 league triumph over Rhode Island College.
 
The Owls are off until the host a non-conference contest against Emerson College December 30 at 6 p.m.
 
Western Connecticut State University is receiving votes in the poll for the second consecutive week after improving to 7-0 through last week’s action. The Wolves opened the week with an 82-66 conference won over UMass Boston before knocking off York (N.Y.) College in overtime, 63-58.
 
WestConn closed out its semester by cruising to an 87-41 non-conference win at St. Joseph’s (Brooklyn) University. The Wolve will return to action to host a holiday tournament December 29-30. They open against The City College of New York, and will face wither the U.S. Coast Guard Academy or SUNY Maritime the next day.
