The Keene State College and Western Connecticut State University men’s basketball programs are once again featured in this week’s D3hoops.com Poll. The Owls slipped two spots to No. 6 in the country, while the Wolves remain listed among the teams receiving votes in the poll.

Keene State was ranked a program-best No. 4 last week, which it opened with an 86-82 setback at home to then No. 11 Middlebury. The Owls rebounded from their first loss of the season with a pair of conference wins, routing Castleton (102-49) and Southern Maine (92-68) to improve their record to 17-1 overall and 9-0 in conference play.

WestConn extended its current winning streak to five games with a pair of LEC wins last week, defeating Eastern Connecticut 98-91 on the road in overtime before cruising to a 106-83 home win over Plymouth State. The Wolves’ record now stands at 15-1 overall and 7-1 in league play.

Both teams will be on the road for their two scheduled games this week. Keene State will head to Plymouth State Wednesday and Rhode Island College Saturday, while WestConn will head to UMass Boston Wednesday and UMass Dartmouth Saturday.
