Player of the Week
 
Malik Lorquet (Sharon, Mass.) – Senior – Forward – UMass Boston
Lorquet was named the LEC Player of the Week after averaging 24 points and 14 rebounds per game in a 1-1 week for the Beacons. He scored 28 points on 10-of-20 shooting from the floor and an 8-for-11 performance at the line, while pulling down 18 rebounds in UMass Boston’s 82-66 home win over Plymouth State, and in doing so became the program’s career rebounding leader (788). The senior forward opened the week scoring 20 points and grabbing 10 boards in an 88-72 setback at UMass Dartmouth.
 
Rookie of the Week
 
Mark Asare (Roswell, Ga.) – Freshman – Guard – Southern Maine
Asare was named the LEC Rookie of the Week after he scored 12 points with four assists in 17 minutes off of the bench to help the Huskies earn a critical conference win over UMass Dartmouth, 91-86. Asare was 4-for-5 from the field, all from three-point range.
