Richmond Town recently issued the following announcement.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE ZONING ORDINANCE 

The Richmond Town Council will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at5:30 P.M. on a proposed amendment to the Richmond Zoning Ordinance. The amendment would add a new chapter to the Zoning Ordinance, Chapter 18.61, where all limited zoning map amendments and the limitations placed on each re-zoned property would be listed. 

This Meeting will be a Hybrid Meeting: This meeting will take place in Town Council Chambers, 5 Richmond Townhouse Road, Richmond, RI 02898; however the public can also observe and participate in the meeting remotely broadcasted on Zoom.

The public is invited to observe and participate in the deliberations of this meeting by accessing the meeting link set forth herein. For those without access to video observation platforms, you may also call in to listen to the deliberations of this meeting by using the call-in phone number provided herein. To participate during Public Hearing or Public Input you will press *9 to raise your hand.

All interested persons will be given an opportunity to be heard on the proposed amendment at the public hearing. The proposed amendment may be altered or amended during the public hearing, without further advertising, as a result of further study or because of the views expressed at the public hearing. Any such alteration or amendment will be presented for comment during the public hearing.

Interested parties may examine or obtain a copy of the amendment at the Town Clerk’s Office, Richmond Town Hall, 5 Richmond Townhouse Road, Richmond, R.I., between 9:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M., Monday through Friday, except legal holidays. Interested parties may also view the proposed amendments on the Town’s website, www.richmond ri.com.

Persons who will need interpreter services or auxiliary aids at the public hearing should call the Town Clerk’s Office at (401) 539-9000, ext. 9, at least three business days before the public hearing. Persons with hearing or speech disabilities may dial 711 to place the telephone call.
