 Kemari Reynolds tied her career-high with 12 points in the Bryant University women’s basketball team’s 63-50 road loss against UAlbany on Wednesday night.

Nicole Gallagher tallied 11 points on 4-9 shooting from the field.

How it Happened

  • The Great Danes jumped to a 9-2 lead in the game’s first three minutes. The Bulldogs responded with a 9-2 run of their own, making the score 13-11 in favor of UAlbany at the media timeout. Lucie Castagne recorded five, Reynolds tallied four, and Gallagher scored Bryant’s first bucket of the game.
  • Both teams scored two apiece after the timeout, with Marta Neira Martinez scoring on a nice up-and-under move (13-13). The Great Danes closed the quarter on a 5-0, making the deficit 18-13 after one.
  • UAlbany got it to a 26-17 lead with 7:33 left in the second Megan Bodziony, and Mariona Planes Fortuny scored two a piece. The Black and Gold then countered with a Reynolds step-back J, and a Dana Kiefer triple (26-22), heading into the media timeout.
  • Bryant then came out on fire on both ends of the floor, holding the Great Danes to two and scoring ten, giving the Bulldogs a 32-28 advantage at the half. Reynolds and Gallagher hit from deep, Fortuny scored two, and Bodziony fought for a rebound and hit a baseline jumper.
  • UAlbany started the half in a groove, going on an 8-2, and earning a 36-34 lead with 5:30 remaining. Then off of a missed three, The Black and Gold, led by Reynolds, led a perfect fast break dishing it to Fortuny, who one-touched it to Martinez, tying the game at 36.
  • The Great Danes closed the quarter on a 9-5 run, regaining the lead (45-41). Fortuny scored all five points for the Dawgs.
  • UAlbany went on a 5-0 run in the first minute and a half of the fourth, forcing the Bulldogs to call a timeout (50-41).
  • The Bulldogs were outscored 13-6 for the remainder of the quarter, resulting in a 63-50 defeat.
