Bryant University Athletics recently issued the following announcement.
Sophomore Lois Warden of the Bryant track and field team has been named NEC Field Co-Athlete of the Week for her performance in the pole vault at the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate Invitational. Bryant has now won back-to-back women's Athlete of the Week awards, after Jasmine Hope took honors last week.
Warden cleared the bar at 3.75 meters at the Pacific Coast Invite, breaking her own program record and finishing 13th in the event. She currently holds the Bryant record for both indoor and outdoor competition. She won gold in the pole vault at this year's NEC Indoor Championships and currently holds the conference's top mark this outdoor season.
The Bulldogs have two more meets before the NEC Championships on May 7-8 at Mount St. Mary's in Emmitsburg, Maryland.
