Providence, R.I.—Rhode Island College has named Neil Dupre as the head women's lacrosse coach.
"I am extremely grateful and excited for this opportunity," Dupre said. "I would like to thank Director of Athletics Donald E. Tencher for the chance to help build the women's lacrosse program here at Rhode Island College. "I am looking forward to bringing my vision to life and unlocking the team's full potential."
Dupre brings over 15 years of women's lacrosse coaching experience with him to Rhode Island College. He has held stints at Bridgewater State, Dean, as well as a few high school programs throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
Along with his duties at RIC, Dupre also serves as an assistant coach for the Scottish Women's Lacrosse U-19 National team.
He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Merrimack in 2004. Dupre earned his M.Ed. in education leadership from Fitchburg State in 2010.
Dupre currently lives in North Providence with his wife, Megan, and their twin daughters, Lucy and Olivia.
