Player of the Week
Ashton Lewis (Fairfield, Conn.) - Junior - Eastern Connecticut
Lewis was named the LEC Player of the Week for the third consecutive week after earning medalist honors with a four-over par total of 147 at the Elms College Invitational. He rebounded from a slow start to finish with a one-under par round of 71 at Ledges Golf Club Saturday, as he birdied 15, 16 and 17 before scoring an eagle on the par-five 18th. Lewis followed with a five-over par round of 76 on a blustery Sunday at Cold Spring Country Club. The Warriors (615) were second only to Amherst (603) at the 11-team event.
Rookie of the Week
Sam Farr (Gotham, Maine) - Freshman - Southern Maine
Farr was named the LEC Rookie of the Week after he tied for ninth at the USM Fall Invitational with a score of 156 (+12). Farr shot a 78 in each of the two rounds at his home tournament, helping lead USM to the team title at the par-72 Riverside Golf Course.
