Player of the Week
 
Jordan Moretti (Johnston, R.I.) – Senior – Guard – UMass Dartmouth
Moretti was named the LEC Player of the Week for the first time this season after averaging 18.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 2.7 steals per game in a 2-1 week for the Corsairs. She scored 21 points with four rebounds, four assist and three steals in a 72-42 win over Regis before netting 20 points with eight rebounds, eight assists and three steals in a 75-64 win over Husson to open UMass Dartmouth’s Lafrance Hospitality Tournament. Moretti capped the week with 15 points, five boards, two assists and two steals in a 77-61 setback to Bowdoin in the tournament final, the Polar Bears are receiving votes in the D3hoops.com Preseason Poll.
 
Rookie of the Week
 
Beeban Jikiemi-Pearson (London, England) – Freshman – Guard – UMass Boston
Jikiemi-Pearson was named the LEC Rookie of the Week after scoring 10 points with four rebounds and a blocked shot in just 17 minutes off the bench in UMass Boston’s 79-34 rout of Mt. Holyoke to open the 2022-23 season. She was 5-for-10 from the floor in her collegiate debut, which was the Beacons’ lone game of the week.
