Field Athlete of the Week
 
Shannon Parks (Reading, Mass.) – Senior – Keene State
Parks was named the LEC Field Athlete of the Week after winning the shot put (12.35m) and weight throw (14.88m) at Plymouth State’s Panther Invitational Saturday.
 
Track Athlete of the Week
 
Athena Comeau (Rutland, Mass.) – Junior – Plymouth State
Comeau was named the LEC Track Athlete of the Week after winning the 60-meter dash title with a season-best time of 7.90 seconds at the Panther Invitational, which ranks her 40th in NCAA Division III this season. She added a third place showing (tops among D-III athletes) in the 200-meters after crossing the line in 27.42 seconds.
 
Rookie Field Athlete of the Week
 
Isabella Taccogna (Stratford, Conn.) – Freshman – UMass Dartmouth
Taccogna was named the LEC Rookie Field Athlete of the Week after placing second in the high jump (1.56m), trailing only the reigning NCAA DIII Champion and finished 13th in the long jump (4.54m) at Tufts’ Branwen Smith-King Invitational. Her mark in the high jump ties her season-best and remains the top mark in the LEC this season, while her long jump distance ranks seventh in the LEC.
 
Rookie Track Athlete of the Week
 
Haley Oliver (Coventry, R.I.) – Freshman –  Rhode Island College
Oliver was named the LEC Rookie Track Athlete of the Week after finishing 14th in the 800 (2:30.02) and 21st in the mile (5:28.22) at the University of Rhode Island Invitational on Jan. 21. It was an individual meet with no team scoring and featured mostly Div. I competitors. Her 800 time is the fastest in the LEC so far this season.
 
Relay of the Week
 
Plymouth State 4×200
The quartet of freshman Cass Hanson (Stetson, Maine), sophomores Montana Casa (Storrs, Conn.) and Niki Monoxelos (Litchfield, N.H.) and junior Mackenzie Labrie (Canaan, N.H.) ran a thrilling race to fend off St. Joseph’s College by less than half a second to win the event with a time of 1:59.10.
