Little East Conference recently issued the following announcement.

Field Athlete of the Week
Shannon Parks (Reading, Mass.) – Senior – Keene State
Parks was named the LEC Field Athlete of the Week after placing third overall in the shot put first among DIII competitors, at the UMass Lowell Invitational. Her throw of 12.06 meters is currently 18th-best in NCAA Division III this season.
Track Athlete of the Week
Maggie Santacroce (Bristol, Conn.) – Senior – Eastern Connecticut
Santacroce was named the LEC Track Athlete of the Week after she placed second in the 10K at Wesleyan’s Elmer Swanson Classic Saturday. Her time of 40:57.67 was a PR by nearly two full minutes, and currently ranks her 27th in NCAA Division III this season.
Rookie Field Athlete of the Week
Shannon Burby (Wolcott, Conn.) – Sophomore – Eastern Connecticut
Burby was named the LEC’s Rookie Field Athlete of the Week after placing second in the javelin at Wesleyan’s Elmer Swanson Classic with her throw of 33.74 meters.
Rookie Track Athlete of the Week
Alyssa Sirianni (Vernon, Conn.) – Sophomore – Eastern Connecticut
Sirianni was named the LEC Rookie Track Athlete of the Week after finishing runner-up in the 100-meter hurdles (16.45) and 400-meter hurdles (1:14.30) at Wesleyan’s Elmer Swanson Classic.
