NFIB recently conducted a virtual event featuring energy analyst Isaac Orr to discuss the impact of renewable energy costs and electrification mandates in New England. Orr is the founder and Vice President of Research at Always On Energy Research.

The event, which was free for NFIB members, provided insights into the future of energy systems in the region. Participants had the opportunity to ask Orr questions directly. A recording of the session is available for review.

Always On Energy Research's recent report, “The Cost of Going Green In New England,” highlights the economic impact of the region’s energy mandates. The report estimates that consumers across the six states—Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont—will incur an additional $815 billion in costs by 2050 due to these policies.

Orr, who has contributed to notable publications such as The Wall Street Journal and USA Today, focuses his research on energy modeling and addresses key issues like electricity policy and natural resource development.

For further information on advocacy related to energy or other issues, NFIB members can reach out to Grassroots Manager Julianna Rauf. Questions regarding the event can be directed to NH/VT State Director John Reynolds, who organized the session.
